Founded in June 2024, Dorado was established with a bold vision to redefine marine propulsion through hybrid technology. What began as a concept driven by innovation and environmental responsibility has rapidly evolved into a focused mission to develop the world’s first line of premium hybrid outboard motors. Our team of engineers, designers, and marine industry professionals is committed to bringing this vision to life. We plan to officially launch our full product arsenal — ranging from 15 HP to 450 HP — by late 2026, setting a new benchmark for performance, reliability, and sustainability on the water.
Environmentally friendly
Each hybrid outboard unit can abate 3.24 tons of CO2 emissions per year. Hybrid motor shave numerous advantages over their pure gas/diesel counter parts. A large majority of electrical energy is converted into propulsion power, compared to a much lower percentage with combustion outboard engines which lose a significant amount of energy as heat. A hybrid unit can last approximately 5,000 hours if properly maintained. In comparison, gas fueled outboard motors last approximately 1,500 hours.
