Dorado Motors takes inspiration from the world’s most advanced performance machines. Our hybrid outboards share core technology principles with the Lamborghini Sián’s groundbreaking hybrid system — pairing a high-performance internal combustion engine with a supercapacitor-based electric assist system. Just like the Sián delivers instant torque and aggressive acceleration on land, our outboards use supercapacitors to unleash rapid bursts of power on the water, redefining performance without the weight and lag of conventional battery systems.
Dorado Intelligence
Our 4 stroke hybrid system intelligently switches between electric assist and gas power based on speed and load demand. At low speeds, docking, and idle, the supercapacitor-powered electric motor handles propulsion silently, using no fuel and producing zero emissions. When it’s time to accelerate or cruise, the gas engine seamlessly takes over for sustained power. The Dorado App puts total control of your outboard right in your hands. Track real-time performance data including fuel consumption, electric assist usage, MPG, and supercapacitor charge levels — all from your phone or tablet.
